Meanwhile we grew up...

It's ​ crazy how people in old times used to stay connected to each other via handwritten letters. They lived up to the promises they made to each other which were not even verbal. They used to do gruesome traveling for days to come and visit their loved ones and be a part of their celebrations. And now even with communication & transportation made so much easier, people who were once close knit are almost strangers to one another. Those friends who were once a  part of your circle are now scattered in various parts of the world busy in their own work so much so that now they don't get time to talk to you. It clearly isn't their fault that they are not available when you need them because they have a life to live. But, it's truly heartbreaking that you don't find common topics to talk upon with your once upon a time soulmates when you actually get a chance to talk to each other. During the conversation you keep remembering bits and pieces of moment...

Comma or Full stop?

Why is there always a need to define your relationships? Why can't you just live in the moment and be happy about it? People at one point or another do need someone in their life to confide in them, to depend on them to have comfort, care, protection, faith, love, trust, loyalty, strength and support. Someone whom they can call their OWN. To whom they can show their vulnerable side and be their real self around them with all the layers of self doubt and pessimism. We almost always fear to take that leap of faith to trust another being with our secrets for we fear being weak in front of them and fail to enjoy the precious beautiful moments of present which could have been celebrated with happiness. We  lose them in the shadow of an unpredictable, unknown and a very uncertain future, a future what we might think will probably play out. But then again, is it really our fault that we cannot invest our trust and beliefs in other people? I guess not, because we have all ...
